Formerly CHINA 103. Students continue with the concepts introduced in CHIN& 122 (formerly CHINA 102) to learn the Chinese language and current use of simplified characters. Official Mandarin Chinese is used for beginners using Pinyin (Chinese sound system). This course maintains regional standards for competency and vocabulary. Language lab is required. Prerequisite: CHIN& 122 (formerly CHINA 102) or permission of instructor. (SCC, SFCC)
