An introduction to vertebrate anatomy with emphasis on structure and function. Additionally, the course examines processes that have affected the diversity of vertebrate organisms, including origination, biogeography and adaptation. Prerequisite: BIOL 1401, 1402 or GEOL 1308 or permission of instructor. The accompanying laboratory, BIOL 5166, is strongly recommended.
