This course provides teacher candidates with the skills and strategies required to teach students with exceptional learning needs in inclusive secondary education classrooms. Aspiring teachers will be engaged in discussions and activities that focus on planning instruction; building partnerships with faculty and parents; differentiating instruction; evaluating student learning; and responding to student behavior. In addition, teacher candidates will add to their knowledge and understanding of special education programs and services by completing two required field experiences. Prerequisite: EDUC2100 Co-requisite: EDUC0306
