This course provides education candidates with experiences related to assessment including: the selection of assessment methods appropriate to each discipline in the elementary school; development and characteristics of elementary students; practice in the accurate and ethical interpretation and communication of assessment results; and the integration of information gained from assessments into instructional plans. Content will include both traditional and alternative assessment procedures, including performance-based assessment. Prerequisites: EDUC2100 and PSYC3500 or PSYC3550
