This course explores the role of communication in the rhetorical construction of gender of how communication reflects, refracts, shapes, and revises our understandings of gender and what it means to be gendered. Students are introduced to current theories of gender communication, communicative behaviors of men and women, and the impact of gender in specific contexts including interpersonal relationships, the media, the workplace, and education.
