VAST is a two-week course based in London and North Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The first week will be spent in Central London visiting major museums, galleries and artist's studios. Students will be expected to carry out sketching assignments and to keep a journal of these experiences. The second week will be spent in the North Yorkshire Sculpture Park and will be a studio workshop, hands on experience working under the direction of faculty from the UK ad the USA. Students will work in the park, using natural or found materials for the creation of work or installation. Students will be expected to document their work and to keep a journal. Field trips during the second week include visiting the Henry Moore Institute, the City of Leeds Art Gallery and an ongoing Christian Boltanski Installation.
