Advanced Drawing Studio augments the student's grasp of formal and conceptual concerns in drawing, and extends issues of expression by including further exploration and analytic evaluation of the nature of personal content. Students will be expected to structure their own problems, build upon formal and conceptual issues of previous semesters, and produce a serious body of related work. The development of personal imagery and expressive content is stressed. Students will articulate their intentions and develop further critical insight through ongoing class critiques and discussion. Gallery and museum visits and a wide variety ofhistorical and contemporary master drawings will be introduced throughout the semester to enhance the students' context of ideas.
