In this class, students are encouraged to explore ways of using color to articulate their unique photographic vision. The foundations of color photography and the aesthetic implications of color are addressed. A variety of assignments cover the tools needed to create technically proficient color prints. Coursework includes color temperature, color correction in Photoshop CS3, and digital output options for printing. Throughout the course, students will refine their technical skills, specifically in relation to correctly exposing their images. Prerequisites: Digital Photography I and Principles of Black and White Photography or equivalent experience.
