The study of portraiture has engaged artists for centuries. The illustrator has a particular interest in achieving proficiency in this area, in order to successfully convey a specific likeness of a person or persons in an illustration. In this course, students will learn to execute illustrative portraits through directed methods and strategies. Sustained assignments will utilize studies from life and photographic references.
