This introductory course is designed to instruct the student in the appearance, structure, and function of the skeleton and major muscle groups, with particular emphasis on their relevance to figure drawing and the perception of the life model. Basic proportions and landmarks of the skeletal and muscular structure are studied in their specifics and in their integration as elements of figure drawing. Students will draw from the actual skeleton, as well as from muscle charts and the life model. Satisfies: Studio Elective
