Topics covered include protein structure and function, enzyme mechanisms, kinetics and regulation, membrane structure and function, bioenergetics, hormone action, intermediary metabolism, including pathways and regulation of carbohydrate, lipid, amino acid, and nucleotide biosynthesis and breakdown. This course is cross-listed as CHE 3320. Prerequisite: BIO 1403 Cellular and Molecular Biology and CHE 2402 Organic Chemistry II.
