(Summer; Yearly; 2.00 Credits) Students enrolled in this course will participate in an international service learning trip to explore social, cultural and environmental issues through various service and educational experiences. Involvement in trip activities will help students develop a foundation of knowledge about the importance of global citizenship. Online lessons and discussion leading up to the trip will provide participants with learning objectives and vital background information related to the region in which they will serve. Course topics and destination may vary. Applications accepted in fall. Prerequisites and associated fees vary by trip. Summer 2006 Global Service Learning trip is scheduled for July 5-August 1. Pre-trip course work will commence in June 2006.
