(Fall & Spring; Yearly; 1.00 Credit; F) Our wind symphony is the main instrumental ensemble for winds and percussionists. The ensemble performs a variety of concert band literature chosen to develop ensemble-playing abilities and musicianship, as well as occasional chamber pieces for sections or heterogeneous groups. Rehearsals and concerts emphasize the communicative aspects of music and the development of the tools that are necessary to produce a high-quality ensemble experience. Full rehearsals are 2 1/4 hours per week and a 50 minute sectional is also required. NOTE: Wind symphony members enroll in MU 191 their first semester of membership, then 192 then 193 etc.
