Yoga is an ancient Indian religious philosophy with a unique and complex world view. The Yoga system sees the human and the cosmos as homologous and therefore places special emphasis on the control of the body and mind in its pursuit of the realization of ultimate reality. In order to test Yoga's assertions about the effect of physical and contemplative techniques, students will participation in a lab section in addition to lectures and discussion.
