			This is the first in a three-quarter sequence covering the research, design and construction of a full-scale working prototype. In this course, students, working in a team environment, research user needs, human factors, aesthetic issues, manufacturing requirements and market demands to identify user needs and product opportunities. Teams use brainstorming and other ideation methodologies to produce and develop numerous design concepts. Students work with industry partners to gain a deep understanding of issues related to the project concept. Student designs are developed through final concept and full-scale mock-up. Prerequisite: IDUS 321.
