This course introduces Chinese subjects and traditional painting techniques, in which variation in ink, color, line and texture are all achieved by Chinese brushstroke. The philosophy and history of Chinese painting are addressed, helping students understand and develop the technique and concept of Chinese painting. Students are encouraged to combine Western and Eastern art to create their own personal work. Prerequisite: PNTG 203 or PNTG 206.
