This course provides students with the skills required to develop a specialized library of original sound effects. Students learn to create sound effects through synthesis, advanced editing, and signal processing. Students learn the art of recording non-sync sound in both field and the studio environments. In addition, they learn the art of recording synchronized sound to image (Foley) in a studio environment. Prerequisite: SNDS 316.
