Through visits to studios, galleries, and publishing companies in Tokyo, Japan, this course investigates the art and business of sequential art in that country. Students visit and consult with various professional cartoonists and comic book companies. The production component of the medium, as it exists today in Japan, also is observed in detail. Prerequisite: SEQA 224.
