Secondary teacher certification candidates will continue to develop management, instruction and assessment techniques specific to their content subject. Candidates will plan lessons that utilize discussion and writing as tools for learning and developing understanding. Candidates will develop strategies for supporting the reading of their content texts and for developing research skills. Candidates will develop familiarity with the professional organizations and publications of their certification field. Field work is a required element of this course. Prerequisites: EDU 214, EDU 345, EDU 350, SPE 215
