The purpose of this course is to facilitate successful entry into the teacher education program. It examines pedagogy and professional knowledge, which promote continuous professional growth; present effective researched-based classroom practices and strategies that are widely accepted in our nation's school. Students are provided field clinical experiences through visiting classrooms to observe and participate in learning activities prior to student teaching. Students are required to create and maintain an electronic portfolio that will be used to correlate information between pre-service teachers' work and the Florida Accomplished Practices.
