Students will select a thesis committee and research problem, conduct appropriate research, and write and defend a thesis proposal and a full sentence outline. Course lectures will be integrated with facultyguided workshops; topics include an overview of the thesis process, the development of a specific and contentious research problem, organization and format of the required thesis documents, citation standards, and appropriate academic language. Prerequisite: COM 221 or COM 222.
