Elementary chemical theory. Covers basic atomic theory, elements, compounds, and mixtures, calculation of weight and weight volume relationships, and basic descriptive chemistry. One 1.5-hour laboratory session per week. (Cannot be used for credit in chemistry toward a degree in Aerospace Engineering.) Passing grade required for Lab. Students who take PS 108 may not also take PS 101. Prerequisite: MA 111 or corequisite: MA 140.
