Prerequisite: admission to Candidacy in the Department of Art, Music and Theatre and either ARTS 5400U or ARTS 5410U The planning, implementation, and evaluation of a sequential curriculum for the visual arts in the P- 12 teaching environment. Areas of analysis include past and present art programs and art education movements as alternative models for curriculum design; evaluation of innovative school, museum, and other institutional art programs; meaning and method of curriculum improvement; guidelines for curriculum, decision making; and evaluation.
