Trauma care systems and the role of the paramedic. Includes blunt and penetrating trauma, hemorrhage and shock, soft tissue trauma and burns with special considerations for trauma involving musculoskeletal system, spine, thorax, abdomen and the head, face and neck. In order for the course to be transcripted, the student must submit documentation of the following: (1) successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited Paramedic Program, (2) official notification of a passing score on the National Paramedics exam, and (3) an official Clark College Transcript documenting completion of a minimum of 30 hours of degree-relevant coursework.
