This course combines global business theories with practice. In the first part of this course, students learn various methodologies which are utilized in the preparation of international business plans. They are then able to evaluate the export potential of local firms, analyze their competitiveness, as well as identify international business trends in industry and potential distributors or partners in a targeted market area. This section of the course is followed by an international trip to visit foreign businesses, international trade officials, and cultural sites. For the international travel component of this course, students are responsible to pay for their own travel expenses. Prerequisites: BUS 200 and MKT 200 (both with a minimum grade of C).
