The role of the human resource manager as both leader and planner within the context of an organization is examined. Topics to be covered include: observing and diagnosing an organization; the positioning of human resources within an organization; planning and forecasting for human resource needs; fiscal considerations in human resource planning; theories of teamwork and motivation; and research in the planning process. Prerequisites: LSENG 190 and LSLIT 110. Open to Liberal Studies Degree students only.
