Description:
The ethical issues inherent in the relationship between commerce and the environment are the primary focus of this course. Students learn how business affects the natural environment and examine business' responsibilities to the environment. A broad range of areas are studied, such as classical economics, ecological economics, sustainability, as well as efforts to both redesign and reconceptualize business. In addition, specific topics that are examined include sustainable production, sustainable consumption, as well as business professions and sustainability. Prerequisites: PHIIL 102 and PHIL 103
