This introduction to the concepts and methods of cultural anthropology focuses on the wide range and variability of human cultures as well as contemporary human problems, such as cultural change, ethnicity, social stratification, urbanization, and modernization. A value-laden approach is used to discuss social issues, ethical questions, and applied anthropology. Prerequisites: LSENG 190 and LSLIT 110. Open to Liberal Studies Degree students only.
