Description:
In this one-semester experience in practice teaching at the secondary level, students apply their knowledge of specific subjects and pedagogy in a secondary school under the guidance of a cooperating teacher and a University supervisor. Students may apply for this Student Teaching Practicum experience after all required major and professional courses have been completed, and with approval of the Coordinator of Student Teaching. Prerequisite: EDU 461; concurrent with EDU 462.

This course requires a Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Clearance. Out of state residents are also required to have an FBI fingerprint check. NO STUDENT MAY BEGIN CLASS WITHOUT EACH OF THE REQUIRED CLEARANCES. Applications are available in Room 338 and take 4 - 6 weeks to process.
