Description:
This field experience course links EDU 312, Social Studies Methods, and EDU 360, Language Arts Methods II. Students work with cooperating teachers in schools and districts partnered with Neumann University to design and implement lessons and activities that demonstrate their understanding of and ability to teach standards related to both subjects. Prerequisites: EDU 202, EDU 220, and EDU 248; concurrent with EDU 312 and EDU 360. This course can only be taken after the student has received an official Letter of Acceptance to the Education major.

This course requires a Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Clearance. Out of state residents are also required to have an FBI fingerprint check. NO STUDENT MAY BEGIN CLASS WITHOUT EACH OF THE REQUIRED CLEARANCES. Applications are available in Room 338 and take 4 - 6 weeks to process.
