This studio course is designed to develop an appreciation for the history and traditions of calligraphy. A variety of letter forms are studied. Design and craftsmanship are emphasized, and skills are developed through a series of supervised projects. (NOTE: This course can be taken at intermediate and advanced levels. When taken at the intermediate and/or advanced level, this course does not satisfy the Fine Arts Core Requirement. See Intermediate and Advanced Studio Art Courses for details.)
