This survey presents an overview of the fundamentals of general, organic, and biological chemistry. Students are provided with a foundation for understanding the structure, function, and behavior of matter. Mass and energy relationships in chemistry are also examined. Throughout the semester, students are taught to apply chemical principles to the behavior of compounds and to those compounds that are involved in selected life processes. Concurrent with CHEM 111.
