A study of the relationships between the fundamental principles of chemistry and the environment. This course provides an introduction to the chemistry of water, soil, sub-surface and atmospheric systems including physical and chemical transport processes. In addition to basic principles, the course will address current topics relating to the field. Three 55-minute lectures and three hours of laboratory each week. Fall term, even-numbered years.
