A course that introduces students to the skills necessary for constructing, supporting, defending and refuting persuasive writing. The course includes study and practice in techniques of reasoning, utilization of evidence, and employment of persuasive appeals in a variety of types of writing ranging from newspaper editorials to scholarly research.
