A theoretical and applied examination of the principles of modern chemical instrumentation. Topics include spectroscopic, electrochemical and chromatographic instruments, plus computers and electronics in instrumentation. Laboratory includes specific applications directed toward qualitative and/or quantitative analyses. Four 55-minute lectures and four hours of laboratory each week. Spring, even-numbered years.
