This course is designed to introduce students to basic painting skills and techniques. Elements and principles of design will be introduced as they relate to the painting medium with emphasis placed on basic technical skills and color theory and the development of personal style. The still life will be emphasized along with an introduction to the figure. (No P although ART 110 is preferred.) (Lab fee) Offered fall term.
