A laboratory course exploring the basic variables in conditioning. Attention will be given to operant and respondent techniques with human and nonhuman animals. Emphasis will be placed on reinforcement schedules, discrimination, and motivation. Final projects will be presented in both oral and written form. Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory. Usually taught in the fall semester. Prerequisite: PSY 101 Introductory Psychology, PSY 103 Psychological Statistics, PSY 104 Research Methods in Psychology, and PSY 201 Learning & Behavior or PSY 208 Biological Psychology Meets general academic requirement W.
