Description:
-
For nearly 2000 years Jews and Christians have had to define their relationship to one another, not only theologically but also in light of wider cultural factors that affected both communities. We study the changing shape of this troubled relationship and its characterization by leading thinkers in both traditions. Possibilities for revision and renewal of the relationship in recent decades are examined in light of prior models and experience as well as the emerging realities of twentyfirst century global society. Meets general academic requirement R.
