An intensive study of music from one of the following periods: Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Twentieth Century. The course will include analysis of the repertoire and the cultural context that led to its development. Readings and listening assignments analysis and writing assignments semester project. Prerequisite: MUS 211 Music Theory III and MUS 221 Music History I: Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and MUS 222 Music History II: Classic, Romantic, 20 th Century
