A study of the plays, poetry, and novels of eighteenth and nineteenth century Spain, reflecting the social, political, and ideological changes leading up to and throughout the Industrial Revolution. Special attention will be paid to the different roles of writer, narrator, and reader through textual clues. Taught in Spanish. Alternate years.
