Prerequisite: BIOL 2200 Cellular and Molecular Physiology. Course provides an overview of the structure and molecular biology of viruses (groups IVII) and subviral particles known to exist. Major modes of infection of these viral and subviral agents in host organisms and the pathogenesis they cause in their hosts is surveyed.
