Students will be introduced to current theories, programs and practices in reading and writing as applied to secondary classrooms. Students will develop and implement effective classroom language-use strategies and activities for improving content understanding and for increasing higher order thinking in content areas. The use of technology to both research and communicate content knowledge will also be integrated into course activities. Offered spring. 3 credits
