Description:
Success in the music industry demands long-range strategic planning, not luck or merely a great band. You need strong business and street smarts. You need the "media machine" and the ability to control it. Finally, and most important, you need a plan and the resources to implement it. By the end of this course you will have a basic understanding of booking strategies and planning, marketing principles and their relation to the music industry, and the tools, tactics, and strategies of publicity and promotion. Course meets off campus at KAJEM Recording Studios. Course fee. 3 credits
