(COSC 1319) (COSC 2325) This course provides the basic theory of computer organization. It reviews the mechanism of the machine cycle, digital representation of data and instructions. Also included is an introduction to assembly (machine) language, as- Mathematics and Computer Science 253 semblers, loaders, macros, subroutines, and linking. Prerequisite: CSCI 1423. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
