Emphasizes interrelatedness of literacy processes and their importance in all instruction and learning; strategies for improving text comprehension, developing vocabulary, discussing and writing to learn, and using study and inquiry skills with a variety of texts. Three lecture hours and one and one-half laboratory hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
