A study of fundamental principles underlying chemical methods and modern analytical instruments and an introduction to various modern analytical instrumentation: includes FT-NMR, FTIR, chromatography, UV-Vis spectroscopy, atomic spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and mass spectrometry. Prerequisites: CHEM 3334 and CHEM 3413. Three lecture and three laboratory hours a week. Credit: Four hours.
