Topics include: number systems, models for operations, problem-solving techniques, algebraic thinking, appropriate technology and a variety of instructional approaches. Emphasizes deep conceptual understanding of content, connections among topics, communication of mathematical ideas and the developmental progression of topics. Prerequisite: mATh 099 or appropriate math placement test score and eligible for enGl& 101 or WRIT 101.
