Examines Ancient Mediterranean and Medieval European culture. Studies literary, philosophical, theological, or artistic movements, contributors, and works which have shaped Ancient Mediterranean and Medieval European sensibilities. Develops multiple strategies for analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating the cultural expressions which constitute the classical and medieval heritages of Europe. Prerequisite: 101 or WRIT 101 or concurrently or instructor's permission.
