Continuation of plant production work begun winter quarter. Familiarization of crop scheduling, environmental factors and their control as they affect both greenhouse and nursery crop production, integrated pest management strategies and marketing of horticulture crops. Techniques unique to producing crops outdoors will be emphasized. Being a hands-on grower of plants and a plant merchandiser is a significant portion of the course. Prerequisite: hoRT 244.
