This course takes a multidisciplinary approach to studying diverse sexualities, specifically homosexuality and transgenderism. The course content will examine the anthropological, sociological and psychological approaches to diverse sexualities, particularly concerning their historical, causational, cross-cultural and institutional aspects. Additional topics include empirical data, the arts, social movements, religion and linguistics. Prerequisite: 101 or WRIT 101 recommended.
